Five Things To Avoid When Getting Into Internet Marketing
Making money on the Internet is hard enough when starting out without a bunch of people out there just waiting to con money away from beginners or those who push canned programs designed to separate the Beginner from his or her money.
This is the reason I sat down and wrote up this list of 5 things Noobs should avoid when going into Internet Marketing. Following this advice will go a long ways in helping you get started without falling into money traps. So, here are five things you should avoid if you're serious about making money online.
One thing that I would suggest Beginners to avoid is a program called Site Build It. It also goes by the name of SBI or sitesell.com. This program has been around many years, which just goes to prove that good marketing to an unsuspecting consumer group is still effective in this day and age. What the program won't tell you is that everything in the program that you actually need, you can find free on the Internet. There are a lot better ways of blowing $300 than buying into Site Build It. One red flag is all the positive reviews I found on Google. Once I looked close, they were all fake because these people writing the fake reviews get $75 per each person who signs up under their affiliate program. That alone should make anyone wary, but Beginners can't spot fake reviews as easy as advanced marketers.
Pay Per Click Advertising. Sure. You can make a lot of money in a short amount of time with Pay Per Click, aka PPC, but you can loose everything in a blink of an eye if you don't know what you're doing. PPC is really for those who have an anal personality. It requires constant attention and lots of knowledge to be successful. The people who I know that do well are always running test to see which ad is effective and they spend loads of money. They'll be the first to tell you don't get into it unless your willing to lose a lot of money...kinda like the Stock Market! Once you've got some extra money to blow, then go ahead and play with it. But just be prepared to kiss that money goodbye.
Make Money Online Blogs. Blogs like John Chow make money by pushing worthless crap on Beginners. Most of this stuff doesn't work and will only cost you your money. Other make money online blogs are run by Bloggers who don't make any money online, but just recycle the crap that is on other make money online blogs. It's easy for Beginners to get sucked into these money pits and come away with a bad taste for Internet Marketing. Two Internet Marketing blogs Beginners should read are The Keyword Academy and Make Money with Griz. Do a search for them on the Internet.
Chances are if you've spent any time online you've seen a landing page pushing an ebook or make money system that promises you great riches just for buying and following them. Most of these are put out by people who aren't making any money their self. If you look them up, you'll find that they are always pushing ebooks on how to make money, but none of their websites that are supposedly making money. although one good ebbok that i reccomend can be found at http://switching-toolbar.com it is on social networking and this is one area you should investigate.
Software that promises to make you money. All the tools you need to make money on the Internet can be found for free. Keyword research tools like Keyword Elite, Word Tracker and others are pretty good, but I can find just as good information using Google for free. I make my living off of the Internet and there are only a few pieces of software I've bought and it isn't any of the ones listed above!
Sadly, many people live to take advantage of Newbies. Don't you fall into these money traps. Educate yourself about how real Internet Marketers are making money and learn from them
